Enviromental Conservation for a Better Uganda Program

This project is called Environmental Conservation for a Better Uganda Program and is concerned with building the capacity of the youths using better environmental management practices for a sustainable social economic development. Continued environmental degradation in Uganda has remained a big threat to the people living here and causing severe problems for the local communities and the country.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The project entails promotion of environmental conservation and management practices through training the students, teachers and communities in environment protection activities such as tree planting, flood control mechanism, fruit growing and energy conservation technologies well as conserving the environment. These activities are to be implemented in selected schools and communities.
They include but not limited to:
Cleanup activities around the plant
Training in energy stove making
Making energy stoves
Consultative meetings with community stakeholders
Renovating existing wells for clean water
Building water reserves stores for the elders… etc
